Last night I attended the highly anticipated Drake concert. I made a bet with a couple friends that this event would do over 1500 people. That it did. For those that don't know Toronto is known as the "screw-faced" capital of the world, so rocking a Toronto crowd is definitely a test.
I felt the love from the T-dot crowd towards Drizzy! From start to finish. I am very proud and happy for our city! From Saukrates, Kardinal Offishall, Melanie Fiona, Colin Munroe and Drake - Toronto is making noise. The 2000+ people who were in attendance at Drizzy's concert would agree. Its our time!
Last night proved to me that everyone in the Toronto industry has to step there game up now & forever. From promo to branding! It has to be done. It's time to shine!
Toronto as no industry, not for hip hop, the industry is a dream an some money friends and yourself put together to provide a chance to talent.
